Ingredientes

  • 1 cup basmati rice, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons Milkio Grass-fed ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1.5 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

Direcciones

  1. Heat ghee in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions become translucent.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and cook until they break down and become saucy.
  5. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powders, stirring well.
  6. Mix in the rice, ensuring it's well coated with the tomato mixture.
  7. Pour in water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.
  9. Let sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
  10. Garnish with fresh Cilantro and serve.
